Morning Glory Farm, one of the most revered farm markets on the idyllic Martha’s Vineyard, has reopened for its season. With its colorful array of freshly picked vegetables and fruits, and an array of the freshest meats, eggs, dairy products and baked goods, the sprawling farm market, set amidst rolling hills and picturesque landscapes, continues to be a hub of activity for both locals and tourists, as it has been since its inception over 40 years ago.
One of the standout features of Morning Glory Farm is its commitment to sustainability and environmentally-conscious farming practices. The farm has been Certified-Organic by the USDA since 1990, a distinction it continues to take pride in. Their vegetables are grown with traditional methods of crop rotation and utilisation of animal manure as fertiliser, and the animals are free to roam and graze on the pastures, providing the freshest, healthiest and most flavourful products possible.
The farm offers an incredible selection of produce that includes heirloom tomatoes, lettuce and mesclun mixes, broccoli and many more vegetables. The farm is also famous for its strawberries, raspberries, apples and peaches, harvested to perfection from late May through mid-October.
