Elon Musk calls for Trump to leave politics, DeSantis says ‘easy win’ against Biden in 2024
Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk has called on former President Donald Trump to stop politics, escalating a war of words between influential billionaires whose eyes dominate the social media marketplace.
“I don’t hate the guy, but it’s time for Trump to hang up his hat and sail into the sunset,” Mr. Musk on Twitter. “The Dems must also stop the attack – don’t do it so that Trump’s only way to survive is to regain the presidency.”
The comment of Mr. Musk was posted in response to a video of Mr. Trump at a political rally in Alaska slapping Mr. Musk after he asked the public to stay away from taking to Twitter.
Mr. Trump built the audience on his own social platform Truth Social and he said he had previously told people that Mr. Trump would not go through. Musk is taking over Twitter.
“You know he said the other day, ‘Oh, I haven’t voted for a Republican yet.’ I said, ‘I didn’t know that, he told me he would vote for me,’ ”Mr. Trump at the rally on Saturday. “So he’s another bull—— actor but he won’t buy it.”
Mr. argues. Musk that he told Mr. Trump said he voted for him in a tweet, saying it wasn’t true.
Last month, he said he voted Republican for the first time in a special election in June to elect Rep. Mayra Flores, Texas Republican, who flipped a Democratic seat in south Texas. Mr. Musk published a meme featuring himself laughing along with a caption saying that if Twitter were to take him to court they would have to “disclose the bot’s information in court,” which became a sticking point that motivate his desire to stay away from taking.
