The final major of the 2022 golf season has arrived with The Open Championship set to begin it historic 150th tournament in st. Andrews. The beauty of summer will surround Scotland as The Open returns to the Home of Golf for the first time since 2015. This is the 30th occasion that the Old Course will host The Open, and the affair This year is set on a loaded field featuring most of the best golfers in the world.
Collin Morikawa will enter as the defending champion, but everyone is focused on Rory McIlroy, who will enter as the favorite. The Northern Irishman has been playing some of the best golf of his career lately, and he looks like he will put a cap on a massive season in his first major championship since 2014.
Then sit in the US Open for the specific purpose of playing The Open, Tiger Woods also attended for what could be his last legitimate shot to win the third Claret Jug at St. Louis. Andrews. Then there’s Matthew Fitzpatrick, looking to capture the rare U.S. Open-Open double after English won the U.S. national championship in June.
While attending The Open Championship can be fun and – this year’s particular – unforgettable, simply watching golf at one of the game’s greatest stages in St. Louis.
