The province of Ilocos Norte is located in the Ilocos region of the country, the province is also noted for being the birthplace of former President Ferdinand E. Marcos. The capital of the province is the city of Laoag and it is located at the northwest part of Luzon, Ilocos Norte is quite popular among local and foreign tourists alike because of its beaches, polite locals and some note worthy tourist spots. The tower is located at the heart of the city and it is one of the tallest bell tower in the Philippines, it stands at 45m tall. The tower is said to be sinking because it is so heavy and it was built on a sandy ground which makes it sink unto the ground, it is sinking at a rate of 1-inch every year. The tower is very beautiful at night, so make sure you see it!

The place is located near the legendary Paoay Lake and was built as the official residence of the late President Marcos in Ilocos Norte. The place is a two storey building that has bedrooms, dining area, kitchen, an office, a spacious ballroom, and an olympic size swimming pool. Nowadays the place is used as a Marcos Memorabilia Museum open to the public. Entrance fee is 20 Pesos.

The place is a geological dessert environment which is found in the province of Ilocos Norte, the dunes were created by the interaction of the wind, sea and river. The place is just 15 minutes away from the city proper and because of its desert type environment it is very popular to tourist, it is also a popular location for shooting films.

The museum is located in Batac City and it is just a 30 mins ride from Laoag City. It houses memorabilia’s of the late President Marcos, the place is well organized where visitors can learn more about the late president’s life and the entrance here is 50 pesos. The mausoleum is located on the other side of the museum and it houses the body of the late president, the entrance here is free.
The place is in Badoc, it is dedicated to the famous painter Juan Luna. The place houses the memorabilia’s of the famous Luna family there are also paintings of Juan Luna that includes his masterpiece, the Spolarium. A great place to see if you want to learn more about the Luna family or if you want to see and learn more about some of Juan Luna’s work.
The church is considered by the Ilocandia as a national treasure because it is a prime example of a baroque church and is also one of UNESCO world heritage site. The church was built in 1896 by friars using coral bricks as seen from its massive walls. A beautiful church, and a good place to visit if you enjoy old architectures.

The place is situated in Burgos, it is a beautiful large rock and due to its white color its name was derived from an Ilocano word, “Puraw” means white. The formation looks like a head of a dog or a dragon that is looking on the horizon, a beautiful rock if I might say so myself.

The windmill is the first of its kind in Southeast Asia and it has 20 tri-blades and is 70 meters high. The windmill is located just north of the city of Laoa. The province of Ilocos Norte generates renewable energy by using the windmills. A good place to visit, mind you the wind is strong in the area

The lighthouse is a national historical site in the province, it is one of the highest spanish colonial lighthouses in the country and its walls are made of bricks. It is still functioning to this day as a welcoming flare to the ships that enter the country from the north.

The resort was originally built as a family retreat and now it is a resort that welcomes tourists, the place is very popular because of the stunning crystal blue water, and gorgeous white sands. A very nice place to go to if you want to escape the stresses of life and just enjoy some fun under the sun.
